They continue to teach me life lessons! The one here, well, it is just one of the best yet!! If you are a noticer, you will see a piece missing in this puzzle - upper left hand corner. We decided to draw a name out of a hat to see who would put in the last piece. Now, all puzzle people know that it is the treasured honor to do that!!
They were headed for lunch and my sweet Ava said to me, "Ms. Gould, I have an idea!" Boy, do I ever wish you could have heard the excitement in her voice as she said those words! She looked up at me with eyes twinkling and the biggest smile ever. "Why don't we let Stella, put in the last piece." You see, Stella was absent, she missed being a part of the puzzle coming together that day. Immediately the other seven of my treasures got as excited as Ava. Unanimously shouting "YES!"
So, we once again learn from the "little people" how to care for one another, encourage one another and lift each other up.
A side note: My Nine Fantastic First Graders are as colorful as this puzzle. God has blessed me beyond anything I could ever imagine!!
